Our Inspiration

Our offerings are based on the universal "how-to-live" teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi. His scientific meditation techniques are open to people of all faiths and backgrounds.
Ananda Sangha was founded in 1968 by his direct disciple, Swami Kriyananda. Following Yogananda’s vision of "world brotherhood colonies," we are dedicated to building a supportive spiritual family here in New Zealand

Kriya Yoga

Paramhansa Yogananda taught Kriya Yoga as part of a complete spiritual path. At Ananda, we teach Kriya just as he taught it, offering initiation after you've established a consistent daily practice.
